Na chahile jare paoya jai, teyagile ashe hate, 
Dibase se dhan harayechhi aami peyechhi andhare raate 

Na dakhibe tare, parshibe na go, taari paane pran mele diye jago 
Taraye taraye robe taari banee, kusume phutibe prate 

Tari lagi joto phelechi aashrujal 
Beenabadineer shatodole korichhe se tolomol 
Mor gane,gane paloke paloke jhalshi uthhichhe jhaloke jhaloke, 
Shanto hashir karun aaloke bhatichhe nayanpaate 

না চাহিলে যারে পাওয়া যায়, তেয়াগিলে আসে হাতে, 
দিবসে সে ধন হারায়েছি আমি পেয়েছি আঁধার রাতে॥ 

না দেখিবে তারে, পরশিবে না গো, তারি পানে প্রাণ মেলে দিয়ে জাগো-- 
তারায় তারায় রবে তারি বাণী, কুসুমে ফুটিবে প্রাতে॥ 

তারি লাগি যত ফেলেছি অশ্রুজল 
বীণাবাদিনীর শতদলে করিছে সে টলোমল। 
মোর গানে গানে পলকে পলকে ঝলসি উঠিছে ঝলকে ঝলকে, 
শান্ত হাসির করুণ আলোকে ভাতিছে নয়নপাতে॥

Translation

Whom we meet without asking, comes back even after disowning. 
What I lost till end of the day, I found it at dark night unseen. 

The one beyond sight, the one beyond touch, subdue the soul to it for realization. 
His voice shall be echoed by stars and among flowers it shall bloom every morning. 

For him I shed many tear-drops. 
Which sway on the lotus seat of goddess of learning. 
In my songs every moment they appear in flashes 
It wafts as delicate glow of awareness in calm smiles in my perceiving.
