Eije nodi jae sagore Koto kotha shudhai taare 
Eto jaane tobu nodi kotha bolena kotha bolena

Keu shakha bhainga shidur dhuiya phire bhatir taane 
Karo ashar tori bondhu payenare kinara 
Bhalobasha moron hoiya kaare kore ishara 

Kaaro kopaal bhange jemon nodi bhange taar kul 
Sarajibon jhoira tobu bhangena taar bhul 
Bethaar bishe osru mishe jeno bhalobasha hoy 
Keu okule kul payere karo bhoradubi hoy 

এই যে নদী যায় সাগরে কত কথা সুধাই তারে 
এতো জানে তবু নদী কথা বলেনা কথা বলেনা 
কেন বলেনা কেন বলেনা।। 

কেউ যায়রে বন্ধুর বাড়ি নাও বাইয়া উজানে 
কেউ শাঁখা ভাইঙা সিঁদুর ধুইয়া ফিরে ভাটির টানে 
কারো আশার তরী বন্ধু পায়নারে কিনারা 
ভালোবাসা মরণ হইয়া কারো করে ঈশারা 

কারো কপাল ভাঙে যেমন নদী ভাঙে তার কূল 
সারাজীবন ধইরা তবু ভাঙেনা তার ভুল 
ব্যথার বিষে অশ্রু মিশে যেন ভালোবাসা হয় 
কেউ অকূলে কূল পায় রে কারো ভরাডুবি হয় 

Translation 

O' this river flows to oceans, I ask her so many questions 
She knows so much but answer she won't. 
Why she won't? Why she won't? 

One goes to friend's house by boat crossing tidal waves of the river. 
Breaking bangles and erasing vermilion, one returns to dad's shelter. 
Someone's boat of hopes never finds its shore 
Dies love of someone while offering its gesture. 

Someone's fate is wrecked as its banks the river breaks. 
Though pointed or life but she never corrects. 
Love is mixture of venom of pain and tears. 
One becomes happy and another drowns in swallow waters.
